Black Sheep Distillery - Fantastic Spot That Ticks All of the Boxes!

Black Sheep Distillery: A hidden gem in the Finger Lakes, offering handcrafted spirits, a warm atmosphere, and a taste of history.

Nestled amidst the rolling hills of Prattsburgh, New York, you'll find a serene retreat at 8059 Co Rd 77. It's a beautiful, peaceful spot, not far from the sparkling waters of Keuka Lake. If you're coming from Hammondsport, simply head north on Route 54A, then turn right onto County Road 77. For those starting from Penn Yan, take Route 54A south, and you'll find County Road 77 on your right. The drive is short and sweet, offering glimpses of the stunning countryside along the way.

Black Sheep Distillery is a heartwarming family-owned business with a rich history. Founded by a couple who met as teenagers, Kim & Dean Massaro’s love story has blossomed alongside their passion for crafting spirits. With a strong commitment to quality and community, they've created a distillery that honors veterans and showcases the best of New York State's terroir. Their hand-crafted spirits, made with locally sourced ingredients, reflect their dedication to producing exceptional, small-batch products.

Black Sheep Distillery offers a warm and inviting atmosphere that blends rustic charm with eclectic design. The unfinished wood accents and military memorabilia create a unique and cozy ambiance. Expansive porches provide comfortable seating areas, perfect for enjoying live music and friendly conversation. The friendly hosts and guests add to the lively and welcoming atmosphere, making it a great place to relax, socialize, and savor delicious spirits.

The drinks were a highlight of our inaugural visit to the Black Sheep. Kathy & I thoroughly enjoyed  the Leatherneck Old Fashioned (Kathy had 2!), a perfectly balanced cocktail with a warm, rich flavor and a delightful luxardo cherry garnish. King enjoyed a lemony and refreshing gin cocktail made with the distillery's XXI Gin, while Kim savored a rich and flavorful pumpkin stout from a local brewery.

Black Sheep Distillery is a must-visit for anyone seeking a unique and unforgettable experience. The warm and inviting atmosphere, combined with the delicious spirits and friendly hosts, creates a truly special place. Whether you're a whiskey connoisseur or simply looking for a good time, you'll be impressed by the quality of their products and the passion behind the brand. We highly recommend a visit to this hidden gem and look forward to many more trips to Black Sheep Distillery in the future.
