A Delightful Visit with Inspire Moore Winery in Naples, NY

A Cozy Retreat in the Finger Lakes: Exceptional Wines, Warm Hospitality, and a Family Legacy of Love and Sustainability.

Just on the outskirts of of the enchanting village of Naples, NY, Inspire Moore Winery is a charming destination that blends rustic elegance with a vibrant, boho-chic vibe. Our recent visit to this family-run gem was nothing short of magical. From the moment we stepped into the cozy tasting room, we felt enveloped by its warm and inviting atmosphere. With wine barrels doubling as décor, an eclectic collection of Zen-inspired gifts, and funky wine-lover trinkets adorning the first floor, Inspire Moore exudes a character as unique as the wines it produces.

The tasting experience was a true highlight of our trip. I savored the red wines, which were smooth like velvet, with a fruity essence that was perfectly balanced— with no hint of sweetness, but very approachable and enjoyable.. the flavors left no doubt of the craftsmanship behind every bottle, showcasing the winery's dedication to producing high-quality wines. We were fortunate to be guided through our tasting by Josephine, the winemaker's wife, and Lizzy, both of whom were incredibly knowledgeable and passionate. Nathan Moore, the winemaker himself, also stopped by to greet us, extending a warm welcome that felt more like a reunion with an old friend than a first encounter (perhaps it is because we share a last name?)

What struck us most was the convivial atmosphere that permeated the tasting room. Despite its intimate size, the space was alive with lively conversations and laughter as Kathy and I mingled with other guests. It was clear that Inspire Moore attracts not just wine enthusiasts but also people who appreciate a sense of community. We spent two delightful hours here, savoring both the wines and the camaraderie. A word to the wise: the tasting room is cozy, so calling ahead to ensure availability is a good idea, especially during peak times..

Inspire Moore Winery is more than a place to enjoy exceptional wine—it’s a family legacy. Founded in 2007 (our first visit to eh winery was soon after they opened) by Tim and Diane Moore, the winery reflects their vision of creating wines that celebrate the unique characteristics of Finger Lakes grapes. Each wine is thoughtfully named for a value the Moores wish to inspire, such as Love, Wisdom, and Grace. After Tim's passing in 2019, his son Nathaniel took up the mantle, carrying forward his father’s passion and artistry. Diane continues to run the business, ensuring the winery thrives as a testament to resilience and love.

Beyond crafting extraordinary wines, Inspire Moore is deeply committed to sustainability. From working with local growers practicing environmentally friendly farming to recycling and composting at the vineyard, every detail underscores their dedication to preserving the natural beauty of the Finger Lakes region. As we sipped our wine and soaked in the ambiance, we couldn’t help but admire this harmonious blend of tradition, innovation, and care for the environment. Inspire Moore isn’t just a winery; it’s a heartfelt experience that leaves a lasting impression.

We are happy to share our highest recommendation for Inspire Moore's welcoming spirit and incredibly tasty, well-crafted wines.  To learn more, visit them on the web: https://inspiremoorewinery.com/
